Through The Years
To find out in which year there was a county profile publication
for a particular region, select the region name from the list
below.
If a year is not displayed in the results then this will
be because the region name changed.
Therefore, return to the list and select another region
related to the first one.
(e.g. Chester for 1950 and 1960 becomes part of Cheshire
in 1970 and 1980).
[Over the years there has been changes in the county boundaries
in England. For the county profile publications, geographical
areas are listed exactly as they appeared in the original publications;
no attempt has been made to map old counties on to current geographical
boundaries.]
